Putzing around with the vdot tables

So for my past four NYRR races (Bronx half, snowflake, colon 15, Scotland), in the order they've occurred, the vdot numbers have been 46.41, 48.57, 47.18, 48.97. Ordered by distance, the vdots have been 48.57, 48.97, 47.18, 46.41.

The vdot target for my 1:30 half goal is 51. The target for a 3:30:00 Hartford should be 44.5.

The question here is whether vdot has increased because of the speedwork and better fitness of the past few months, or whether vdot has decreased as distance has increased. I know that ain't how it's supposed to work, and vdot should be constant relative to distance, but either explanation fits, since neither is a smooth curve.

Anyway, for that 1:30 half target, I'm going to have to pick up a few points. We'll see if the joe-mentum plan keeps adding points. Otherwise, I might have to consider more drastic measures. Like drying out or giving up street meat lunches.
